Collect phone numbers so we can invite people to whatsapp groups, etc#332

I find having a whatsapp group for my events really useful as it makes coordinating lift sharing, and other communication much easier than email

Collecting phone numbers at the time of purchase (and being able to pull that through via Zapier) would be super helpful

I’m not in favour of encouraging collection and sharing of personal phone numbers amonst participants.
I can see how vulnerable people may give their phone number, feeling as though they “have to” in order to join the event. But then their details are misused. This could potentially be danerous.

I have been pushed into this previously in order to access event information on a roup chat.,even before meeting the other people. Who then use my personal details to ask for further meet-ups and offer loosely rlated services.
